 Canada Games Complex

The Canada Games Complex is a year round facility for aquatics, fitness and recreation activities for Thunder Bay, and the surrounding area. Home of Thunder Bay Diving Club and Thunderbolts Swim Club, the Complex was built to host the swimming, diving and water polo events of the 1981 Canada Summer Games.

Sir Winston Churchill Community Pool

In 2005, Sir Winston Churchill Community Pool received a $385,600 renovation resulting in a clean, bright environment. The pool area interior walls and the pool deck were painted and the lighting system was revamped. Exterior work also contributed toward the revitalization of the facility.

Fort William Gardens 

The Fort William Gardens is a complete multi-purpose facility with the capability to host a variety of events such as hockey, figure skating, short track speed skating and other sporting events. The building was completely renovated in 1994 and 1995. The Gardens is home to the Lakehead University Thunder Wolves Hockey Team.

George Burke Park

George Burke Park combines a developed baseball park with approximately 100 acres of parkland reserve located along the McIntyre River.

Port Arthur Stadium

Port Arthur Stadium is used exclusively for baseball and is home to the Thunder Bay Border Cats of the Northwoods League. From 1993 to 1998, the stadium was also home to the Thunder Bay Whiskey Jacks of the Northern Professional League. The Port Arthur Stadium was constructed in 1951.

The field is Mondo's 3NX turf that is is rated Star 2 by FIFA (the highest rating available for an artificial turf soccer field). The turf field is made of Eco-fill which makes it play significantly cooler than crumb rubber. The field also has Mondo's FTS (Fine Tuned System) shock pad. The field is marked for both football and soccer.
