Lighthouses

As a major shipping port, the Thunder Bay area is home to many historic lighthouses.

Thunder Bay Main

The Thunder Bay Main Lighthouse is just off-shore at Prince Arthur's Landing, adding to the picturesque view of Lake Superior and the Sleeping Giant.

Porphyry Island

On the other side of the Sleeping Giant, in the Black Bay on Lake Superior you'll find the Porphyry Island Lighthouse. This lighthouse and the island it sits on have been restored to their former beauty and are available to explore and rent.
